Connection Error

The Connection Error occurs when Command Code cannot reach the API server. The CLI displays: Error: Unable to connect to the API. Please check your network connection.

  • No internet connection or unstable network.
  • A firewall, proxy, or VPN blocking outbound requests.
  • The API server is temporarily unreachable.
  • DNS resolution failure.
  • Request timed out due to slow network conditions.

  1. Check Your Internet: Verify you have a working internet connection.
  2. Check Proxy/VPN: If you're behind a proxy or VPN, ensure it allows outbound HTTPS connections to the Command Code API.
  3. Retry: Network issues are often transient. Wait a moment and try again.
  4. Check Firewall: Ensure your firewall isn't blocking connections from the Command Code CLI.

If the issue persists, check your network configuration. For corporate environments, verify that your proxy or firewall allows outbound HTTPS traffic to the Command Code API endpoints.
